International Wine CellarBright ruby-red. Plum, spicecake, tobacco and nutty oak on the nose. Pliant, sweet and fairly fine-grained, with rather oaky currant and tobacco flavors along with a lightly weedy element that carries through to the aftertaste. This offers good fruit intensity and finishes with better sweetness than the '04 merlot, whose oak element dried its finish.
