lisewsd2Appearance: medium to deep purple-red. Nose: a cooler nose certainly than the 2003 Mas La Plana with more stemmy, green Cabernet notes (but not unripe). Oak is subtle, but the wine seems a little closed just now perhaps. Palate: medium-bodied with pleasant blackcurrant and blackberry fruit, medium-high acidity, nice oak and medium coating tannins. Quite good length. Conclusion: lighter than the 2003, understandably, but this bottle seemed a bit closed up. Would have to be compared with other bottles.
