WINEMAKER'S NOTE
Here is a great barolo which will save you money and still convince you that it is a $60.00 wine- rich fruit, well integrated tannins- great with grilled or roasted meats- even turkey!!

International Wine CellarGood deep red. Aromas of plum, mocha, smoke, leather and chocolate. Smooth in the mouth, with good vinosity and energy but currently showing limited delineation to the plum, nutty oak, floral and medicinal flavors. But this rather inscrutable wine is young. Finishes with firm tannins and lingering plum and nut nuances. The first vintage, the 2001, was similarly tough to taste at the outset.
