Very much Merlot in its ripe-cherry focus and its slightly supple feel, this solid, medium-full-bodied offering is seasoned with scattered touches of briar and loam that speak to its fraction of Cabernet as does its complement of finishing tannin. Just tough enough to commend a few years of keeping, it has plenty of substance and the essential balance to grow for four or five years.
