WINEMAKER'S NOTE
As many of you know, I call Zinfandel the "golden retriever" of reds, as it loves almost all food and all palates. The 2004 Giana Zinfandel boasts a deep fruit core, a wonderful sweetness and richness, notes of plums, black cherries, raspberries, cocoa and licorice. And for the first time, it has a gentle kiss of Petite Sirah, allowing it to "ride higher in the saddle." With only 475 cases made, its a sure sellout by late summer. Try it with barbeque, ribs or "south of the border" spicy dishes!
