Although introduced by pleasant aromas of lightly oaked, lively young fruit, this moderately full-bodied effort comes up a bit shy on stuffing despite its impressions of weight and its slightly glyceriny feel, and its limited fruit flavors stall out as bitterness and heat emerge at the finish.

Apple and hay aromas lifted by lime. Fat, juicy and dry, with subtle flavors of apple, hay, herbs and flowers perked up by a muscaty quality. A no-malo chardonnay, from fruit harvested mostly before the early September heat wave.
