Inky red. Cabernet-like aromas of smoky cedar and graphite on the rather austere nose. Then sweet, creamy and mouthcoating on the palate, with soft, ripe red cherry and smoky plum flavors. Finishes clean and long, with lingering saline and herbal notes. This will probably merit a higher score with a bit of bottle aging.
