Light to medium in volume and riper than it is fruity, the nose of this full-bodied effort is paralleled in flavors that, while a touch dry, are focused on cherries with hints of currants and toasted herbs. Somewhat supple to start, then slightly coarse in the ab- sence of compelling fruit, the wine will round out with bottle age but does not really warrant the effort.
