For the very first, this liberally oaked wine stints on easy-to-find fruit, and it seems to become ever less fruity as strident tannins, acid and heat take over as its main traits. There is no real doubt that it will hold up over time, but unless its angles and edges are somehow balanced by presently unseen fruit, it does not seem likely to become a complete wine.
