Robert Parker"The 2003 Stonehorse GSM (55% Grenache from 70-year-old vines, 37% Shiraz from 40-year-old vines, and 8% Mourvedre from 7-year-old vines) was aged in old French and American oak for 12 months prior to bottling. Reminiscent of a southern Cotes du Rhone blended with a Bandol, it exhibits notes of tree bark, earth, spice bark, pepper, and dusty red as well as black fruits in a distinctively earthy, spicy style. It should drink well for 5-6 years."
