WINEMAKER'S NOTE
"Aromas of apples and dried pineapples follow through to a full-bodied palate, yet it's spicy and lively with a long, long finish. Very exciting. Lots of lemon curd and richness on the finish. Much better than from barrel. And better than the 2001. Best after 2010." Wine Spectator 91 Points

Pale medium yellow-gold. Reticent aromas of stone fruits, orange zest and menthol. Very sweet but at the same time brisk and penetrating, with pure, intense fruit flavors oforange, tangerine and pineapple lifted by a floral component. Clearly high in alcohol and yet the wine is fresh enough to really cleanse the palate. In fact, this is downright racy for the vintage, and for Sauternes. A great success in the making for this chateau.
