Perhaps it was the wine's solid structure and ripe, outgoing personality that lead to the buzz in the hall for this wine, and you will probably see it featured when the 2003s arrive this summer. We liked it well-enough, and it is likely to be priced at a level that will make you forsake some California Cabernets, but be advised that it is a little dry/tight by California standards and rates in the mid- to upper-80s for us.
