BordeauNuttI've drunk several vintages of Carruades de Lafite over the years. The 2003, though nice, was not my most memorable; that being the 2000 is my favorite thus far. The 1996 vintage was quite a mouthful and extraordinarily smooth.

jqspytook more than 4 hours and several rounds of decanting before wine opened up. nose is typical paulliac. masculine approach with a slight sweet finish. still tannic and considered young and can hold for several more years. on day 3 wines still tannic but finish is stronger. open 2015.
