Our Napa Valley Reserve Merlot begins with fragrant aromas of black cherry, blackberry, and rich red plums with hints of dark chocolate, mulling spices and a little licorice. Once sipped, your mouth is filled with more flavors of dark fruit, juicy plums, and deep colored Bing cherries, with notes of clove and soft oak. This wine has more structure than one would expect from a Merlot. The flavors are full and round, ending with a mellow finish that is touched with vanilla.
Wine.comAmberhill Merlot is a blend of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes from several grape growing regions of California. Fermented in stainless steel and aged in 60 gallon oak barrels, the wine is smooth and flavorful. The silky texture and light character of this red varietal makes it an excellent alternative to heavy, robust red wines. Pairs nicely with grilled poultry, roasted chicken, grilled salmon, sauteed veal, meat stews and spicy pasta dishes.
