International Wine CellarDeep, saturated red-ruby. Ripe, highly aromatic nose combines raw currant, gunflint and pepper. Then quite tightly wound and a bit youthfully disjointed, with flavors of crushed currant and fresh herbs. This was the first time we destemmed these vines, since the stems were so green, noted Philippe Guigal. Today the wine's oak tannins have not yet knit with its fruit. And yet, like La Mouline and La Turque, this would appear to offer limited aging potential by the standards of these wines.
