Medium ruby-red. Pungent aromas of cassis, violet, currant leaf and licorice. Dense and sweet but juicy; still rather folded in on itself. Finishes with broad, serious, building tannins that arrive late. Seems a bit oaky, even slightly dry, considering that it's only been in barrel for a month.
