SRP 92 WS 90 IWC 90 - Robert Parker 92 Points A terrific wine and probably a great value given the pricing for this vintage, Malescot Saint-Exupery's 2002 exhibits a deep ruby/purple color, notes of anise-infused plum, blackberries, and cherries, broad, full-bodied flavors, wonderful density, yet tremendous purity and elegance. A noble wine that exudes gravitas, give it 2-3 years of bottle age and drink it over the following 15-16 years. Wine Spectator 90 Points Silky and refined with pretty floral, currant and lightly toasted oak on the nose and palate. Medium-bodied, with fine tannins read more...and a delicious finish. Elegant red. This guy makes serious wine. Best after 2007. 5,750 cases made.-JS International Wine Cellar 90 Points Good full medium ruby. Dark berries, chocolate mint, licorice, mocha, flowers and game on the nose. Silky-smooth and dense, with fresh blueberry and blackberry fruit complicated by torrefaction notes of mocha and chocolate. Offers a lovely combination of breadth and cut. This was bottled without fining or filtration. (hide)

DecanterRating: 4/5 - As reviewed by Decanter. Very big, solid colour, lots of depth, very ripe berry fruit, with a little leather that covers the blackcurrants, very ripe fruit and rich flavours, plummy and supple now and should gain tannins in barrel, very ripe style. Drink 2006-15. (Tasted en prime
