International Wine CellarDeep ruby-red. Ripe, deep, brooding aromas of crystallized berries, minerals and spices; much more primary than the 2001. Then very ripe, dense and thick in the mouth, but with the vintage's lively acidity framing the candied berry flavors and extending the finish. This is better than the sample I tasted last year. Contains about 3% malbec, from vines planted in the 1980s.
