Good medium ruby. Explosive aromas of briary mountain berries, licorice and dark chocolate, Dense, sweet, layered and rich, with brooding, slightly medicinal flavors that expand impressively toward the back. At once powerful and smooth. Intriguing hints of black olive, mocha and earth. Very long and rich on the back end, with huge, molar-coating tannins. Harmonious from the outset, but a wine well worth cellaring.
