Ripe but very fresh aromas of black fruits, violet and chocolate, with an intriguing carnal quality. Superripe yet juicy, with fresh, perfectly integrated acidity framing the perfumed flavors of blackberry, violet and chocolate. Denser and more powerful than the young '02, but not at all alcoholic. This is aging in all new barrels but does not come across as oaky.
