International Wine CellarRating: 92(+?) - As reviewed by International Wine Cellar in Issue 117, November/December 2004 ($85) Medium red. Complex aromas of underbrush, licorice, mocha and licorice; red berry notes emerged with aeration. Large-scaled, ripe and rich; a huge wine that finishes with serious but completely smooth tannins that saturate the teeth and cheeks. Boasts great length and thrust for the vintage.

Antonio GalloniRating: 91/100 - As reviewed by Piedmont Report in Issue 1, December 2004 Rocche, which is mostly aged in cask, is more structured, and shows more depth, yet is really clean and elegant, with flavors of plums and mint. Needs some bottle age to show at its best.
