WINEMAKER'S NOTE
The 2000 Napa Valley is a classic Cabernet Sauvignon with a dark, ruby-red color and a nose of black cherries, violets, roasting coffee, and a hint of tarragon. It has medium body and a long, fruit-laden finish. It will continue to improve through 2020 given proper cellaring.

Herbal top notes with minty and mineral smells all but crowding out the reluctant ripe cherry fruit that resides underneath make for a less than inviting beginning here, and the wine is noticeably soft and somewhat limp in mouthfeel with its fruit again beset by herbs and hints of chocolate.

The 2000 Silver Oak Alexander Valley is a classic, rich Cabernet Sauvignon with a dark, ruby color and a complex nose of cassis, blueberries, cherries, nutmeg, chocolate and sandalwood. It is luscious and full-bodied on the palate and has a long, fruit-laden finish reminiscent of licorice.

Credence Sol gave this to Dennis in thanks for borrowing the 4Runner to move furniture. Paired it with x-lean ground beef tacos made with PC Market taco seasoning, dressed with lime garlic sour cream cabbage and TJs especiale salsa. YUM!
