lisewsd2Tasted by jawlz on 11/30/2010 & rated 91 points: Overall very nice, and lots of life left. Color: Nice dark garnet, all the way to the edge. No signs of brown or any oxidation. Nose: Very nice. Red fruits - cherries, raspberries, some powdered sugar. Some mustiness that blows off after some decanting. Hints of cedar and earth. Taste: Started off very tart and tanic. After about an hour and a half of decanting, it opened up an enormous amount. Full bodied, blackberries, some plums. Black pepper as well. Some of that classic Margaux raciness is definitely there. Decent minerality, some limestone. Great long and dry finish with some berries and a bit of oak. 2000 was a great vintage, and even though this is a second label, it's showing well and still has an enormous amount of life in it. 90 to 92 points.
