International Wine CellarRating: 89-92 - As reviewed by International Wine Cellar in Issue 102, May/June 2002. (with 8% cabernet franc, 6% merlot and 3% petit verdot) Rich, full nose combines roasted currant, cedar, spice box, chocolate mint, coconut and smoky oak, along with a lightly leafy quality. The lushest and fullest wine of this tasting, with the most harmonious combination of fruit and acidity. Dense but firm and nicely delineated. Finishes with fine, spreading tannins that coat the mouth and teeth.

Wine.comThe 1999 Silver Oak Napa Valley is a deep, rich Cabernet Sauvignon with a garnet color and a concentrated nose of cocoa, cassis syrup, coffee, and black licorice. It is extremely full-bodied on the palate and has an incredibly long finish of black licorice and vanilla.

Fellow Drync'rRecord label "gift" after drinking a bottle during dinner at Cameron Mitchell's Steakhouse and commenting on how much I liked it. I had no idea at the time that it was a $100 bottle of wine. I hope I added a good record.
