The 1999 Show Reserve Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon has a deep, brick red colour. The aroma displays rich, spicy, red berry characters, with hints of mint, and bramble-leaf. There is a highly attractive cedary, almost smoky note of oak maturation underneath. The palate shows fresh, bright, cassis-like fruit, with a classic Cabernet Sauvignon tannin backbone softened by the savoury edge of oak.
