Well-ripened sweet cassis scents are joined by smells of creme brulee, roasted vanilla beans and hints of eucalyptus in the nose of this fairly outgoing wine. Supple and viscous at entry, then somewhat firmer as its moderated tannins come into play, this deep and tasty wine has a few good years of growth ahead of it and will hold for many more. It will make an enjoyable partner to standing rib roasts
