1999 Jordan Vineyard & Winery Cabernet Sauvignon Alexander Valley
WINEMAKER'S NOTE
The grapes underwent primary fermentation for 14 days in stainless steel tanks followed by three weeks in large, upright oak tanks to complete malolactic fermentation. The wine was aged in 71% French and 29% American oak barrels for 12 months and in large, upright oak tanks for an additional six months. The wine was then bottled and aged for an additional 17 months at the winery. 76.8% Cabernet Sauvignon and 23.2% Merlot; 13.8% alcohol.

    The 1999 vintage has layers of cassis, blackberry, coffee, cedar and vanilla supported by a firm structure. This rich, intense and complex wine will age beautifully for years to come.
