1999 Chateau Lynch-Bages Bordeaux
WINEMAKER'S NOTE
Lynch-Bages made primarily from Cabernet-Sauvignon, is famous for its fine bouquet and rich tannin, which becomes soft and delicious with age. Lynch-Bages is powerful with a long aftertaste. It is typical of the greatest wines of Pauillac. Beautiful dark colour. Red and black plum berry and cherry fruit, aromatic woods nose and taste. The wine is very finely balanced with ripe menthol cherry fruit and elegantly firm wood tanins. A lovely long elegant aftertaste.

Rating: 89/100 - As reviewed by International Wine Cellar in Issue 102, May/June 2002 Dark red-ruby. Plum, redcurrant, cedar, cigar box and tobacco on the evolving nose. Pliant and sweet, with moderate depth and dimension. Can't match the later vintages for verve or inner-mouth complexity. Finishes with dusty tannins and good length.
