Saturated ruby. Superripe aromas of black raspberry, cassis, maple syrup and tarry, smoky oak. Sweet, velvety and quite dense in the mouth, with just enough acidity for balance. With a hint of youthful austerity, this is not at all confectionary. Finishes with very fine tannins.
