Our family roots are firmly planted in Zinfandel. The 1998 Sonoma Zinfandel originates from soils that have produced Zinfandel for over a century. That said, the challenge in 1998 was getting the fruit ripe. One can only do so much canopy management and cluster thinning. At some point you need HEAT.
