Good deep red. Multidimensional nose combines raspberry, coffee, smoked meat, lavender, Christmas spices and leather. Sweet and silky but energetic, with a suave, rather Burgundian texture to the red fruit, spice and leather flavors. Full-blown and expressive but at the same time firmly structured for a long life in bottle. Finishes long and scented, with very fine tannins. One of the group's three favorite wines of the evening.
