Good bright ruby. Very primary aromas of cassis, black raspberry, black cherry and mint. Sweet, dense and generous; broad and nicely filled in. Rather unevolved black cherry flavor hints at a medicinal austerity. This struck me having the restraint and structural underpinning of a Medoc wine along with the textural generosity of a Pomerol. The fine tannins arrive quite late and spread out on the palate.
