Robert Parker"One of the finest Le Gays of the last decade, this dark plum/purple-colored 1998 exhibits an earthy, truffle, smoke, iron, graphite, black cherry, and plum-scented bouquet. It is less rustic, with sweeter tannin than normal, fleshier, riper, more concentrated fruit, medium to full body, and a long, spicy finish. Anticipated maturity: 2004-2016."
