Dark fruit mushroom truffle port old bordeaux nose. Gets nicer and nicer with air. Almost smells like it has a hint of Tabasco sauce. Hot ketchup. THE most floral flavor I've ever tasted. Like someone squirted perfume in my mouth! Dianne loves it!! She loved the nose immediately. Not quite tart, definitely not sour. Very dry. Desert dry. Dirty woody cork finish. With some astringent fruit. Coats the mouth with this. Some dry citrus nose! Pepper citrus nose, great! Flavor! Intense focused purfumed flavor. Pure Burgundy. Like the DRC we had, but better. Dark color. Mushroom finish. Silky smooth tannins, imperceptible alcohol. Dianne says quintessential Burgundy. Reeely tasty. Obviously perfect balance, maybe short on the finish, after a while, a good while, replaced with wood- tannins- dry- dirt. Gorgeous concentrated floral flavor. So easy to drink. Interesting - it's enough to just take little sips... lots of concentrated flavor. Actually, it's best with little sips! Swirling doesn't lose ant of the nose, and tiny sips aerate and taste best. Dianne says: delicious.
