Full ruby. Pungent, roasted aromas of crystallized black raspberry, cassis, minerals, lead pencil, game and dark chocolate; shows a distinctly liqueur-like surmaturite. Full-bodied, lush and superripe; wonderfully sweet sangiovese fruit of great concentration and suavity. Finishes with huge, sweet, toothcoating tannins and superb persistence. A great vintage for this wine.
