WINEMAKER'S NOTE
Berry Bros & Rudd review: An outstanding wine in 1997, big powerful with flavours of honey and raisins. A truly exceptional Sauternes.

DecanterRating: 5/5 - As reviewed by Decanter. Terrific nose of overripe peach and apricot fruit balanced by citrus aromas. Very energetic palate with lots of fruit, spice and balance. Definitely a cut above the rest.

lisewsd2The ’97 Suduiraut is a golden colored wine that is slightly viscous. It has an aroma of apricots with a touch of vanilla. The wine is sweet, but not as sweet as other Sauternes I have tasted. The predominant flavor is apricots and honey with a moderate Botrytis flavor. The wine finishes slightly sweet, with fruit, however I found the flavor very subdued.

jqspywonderful nose with a delicate but complex finish ending with bitter chocolate tones.
