Rating: 89/100 - As reviewed by International Wine Cellar in Issue 78, May/June 1998. Good ruby-red. Aromas of red fruits, clove, tomato, dill and smoky oak. Supple, sweet and charming, with slow-to-open red fruit flavors and suave texture. Finishes with very good length, integrated tannins and a hint of menthol. Very attractive wine, but misses out on the concentration and ripeness of the vintage best examples from Pomerol.

Blend of 70% Merlot, 25% Cabernet Franc, 5% Malbec. Average age of vines 43 years, 90% new oak (loaded with ripe sweet berry fruit)
