63% Pinot Noir; 37% Chardonnay. Clearly in the camp of the bolder, intensely yeasty cuvees, Bollinger's opus has the depth appropriate to a high-priced tete de cuvee and is shot through with the toasty, burnt-nut qualities of a wine that has received extra time en tirage . It wavers a just a bit in the latter going, however, as a scant edge of tangy acidity makes itself apparent, and, like several of its older cousins, it will show best if drunk up sooner rather than later.

Rating: 4/5 - As reviewed by Decanter. This rosé was full of wonderful, heady raspberry and white chocolate aromas, making it quite decadent in its fullness. The colour was very pink, a full expression of its Pinot content. It was lighter on depth than expected, but had plenty of chewy fruitand lots of acidity. It was fruity rather than creamy on the palate. Sadly it did not quite stand up to the full-flavoured dessert of apple tart and blackberry ice-cream.

Pale copper color. Classic Bollinger aromas of toasted nuts, sealing wax and toffee. Then large-scaled, powerful and deep, with strong but integrated acids giving the spice, toffee and brown butter flavors uncanny freshness. With its major chewy extract, this really stains the palate. A classic vintage for Bollinger.
