The Mazzocco estate vineyard in the southeast corner of the Dry Creek Valley is the source for this limited production of 1994 Merlot. Cool mornings and warm, sunny afternoons provide a microclimate that allows the vines to mature slowly, this achieving an excellent sugar, pH and acid balance. The cluster tend to be on the small side, giving the fruit a deep color and rich varietal character.
