Good deep red-ruby. Discreet, slightly high-toned, claret-like aromas of currant, plum liqueur, Worcestershire sauce, cedar, earth and woodsmoke. Suave, fresh and delineated, but less lush than the best vintages of the '90s, more dominated by its structure. But there plenty of sneaky finishing fruit to stand up to the strong but even tannins.
